Community Involvement
Sal believes deeply in “giving back” to the community through his participation in numerous civic activities. Sal designed a program in the Billerica, MA Public School System – Promoting reading over a four-week period where over 7,000 books were read. He is a donor to many organizations and causes, including Pop Warner and Little League teams, Habitat for Humanity, Camp Fatima and Adelante Youth Center, Lawtown Boxing Club, Debbie’s Treasure Chest, serves as a football coach for Chelmsford High School and Chelmsford Pop Warner. Sal also co-sponsored a concert featuring Wayne Newton, with the proceeds going to underprivileged children and founded the Lawrence Citizenship Initiative.
Sal serves as President of the Board for the Leadership and Literacy Foundation, Board Member of the Merrimack Valley Economic Development Council, and Board Member of the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce. Sal is the recipient of Boston Business Journal Under 40 Award, Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizen Award, 2008 Massachusetts Family Business Award recipient, The 2008 Inaugural Enterprise Bank Entrepreneur of the Year and the 2009 SBA Entrepreneur of the Year and 2009 NE Italian American Man of the Year.
